Time Heals All Wounds. NOT
April 4, 2013
There are many who would say that time heals all wounds. In truth, it may not heal them but we learn to focus on them less. Some may still be festering under the surface but others are gone because the issue no longer holds the importance that it did before.
That job you didn’t get or the guy that dumped you years ago seem laughable as something that made you cry for days on end.
Of course there are those who don’t let go of those tragedies and who do the “Oh, woe is me” pity party that goes on for years on end.
It is all relative to where you choose to let your thoughts go. How much do you allow these things to be the basis for your thinking for the rest of your life?
Your history may have shaped your past but how much will you allow it to affect your present or your future?
If you did not learn the lesson from the first such incident then you are doomed to repeat the lesson.
