Howl,
We are thrilled to feature a brilliant woman who has a special gift which we can all benefit from.
Sherry Dmytrewycz owns Healing Gateway which is a practice focused on intuitively healing animals and humans whether they are near or far.
Sherry Dmytrewycz
We were curious to learn more about this, so here is out interview with Sherry:
Bella and DiDi: Tell us what exactly you do.
Sherry Dmytrewycz: I am an intuitive energy healer, which means that Spirit works through me to send healing energies to those who have requested assistance for themselves or their animals. My intention is that my work contributes to the highest good of the animal and the owner(s).
B&D: What kinds of healing have you done on animals?
SD: I have worked on animals who are emotionally upset, ill, injured, having behavioral issues, are structurally out of alignment, or need clearing of negative past experiences that may be affecting their well-being.
I once worked on a calf who could not suckle and within seconds of aligning the jaw the calf was fine. I have also worked on dogs who have been injured, cats who just don’t feel well, and horses who are lame or have back problems. In addition, I work on some pets on a regular basis to help them improve and maintain their health. I am always in awe of the miracles that take place for the animals.
B&D: Have you worked with any Poodles?
SD: Yes, I have worked with poodles. For my work, the breed does not matter.
However, I do understand that certain breeds may be prone to particular problems and so I will take into account these areas of concern. For example, poodles may be prone to neck or cervical disc issues, hip dysplasia, ear or eye problems or genetic diseases.
B&D: Oh no! We have to watch out for those! What kind of techniques do you use to heal?
SD: I use my animal communication skills to let the animal know who I am, why I am talking to them and what they can expect to feel so that they know I mean them no harm. I am an empathy, which means that when I tune into the animal, I feel in my body where the problem areas are in their body.
Energy Alignment is my specialty and involves doing a structural realignment of the vertebrae, and joints. Since there are few veterinarians trained in chiropractic or cranial sacral work, Energy Alignment is very much in demand. I have yet to find an animal that did not need an alignment.
It is important to note that pets are affected by what is going on with the owner(s) and will often take on the exact same alignment issues, personalities, and sometimes even diseases of their owners.
Therefore, I recommend that owners have some energy work done to help eliminate some or all of what may be affecting the pet.
B&D: We like that you get the humans in line too! Can you help with canine sibling rivalry?
SD: My work is often helpful for resolving canine sibling rivalry when it is caused by emotional or behavioral issues experienced by the pets.
B&D: This is good to know. How did you realize that you had this ability to heal?
SD: I had been working on people for several years when I went to visit a friend whose cat was acting strangely.
When I asked what was wrong with her cat, my friend suggested that I do a healing on the cat.
Not thinking that what I did for humans would work for animals, I was hesitant but tuned in and used the same approach that I would use for a person. All worked out well, and then I began working on the pets of friends and opened up to being an animal healer.
B&D: For those out there, who may not know they possess a unique skill or talent, how would you encourage them to get in touch with it?
SD: Often people gravitate towards what fills their heart and soul. Don’t be afraid to explore that.
B&D: Sherry we so agree with this statement. It is how we became bloggers and treat connoisseurs. Thank you for taking part in the Pawspective Interview Series.
SD: It was nice speaking with you!
B&D: *wagging tails*
Woof,
Bella and DiDi
